赤飯
小豆と一緒に蒸したご飯で、お祝いごとや誕生日などのおめでたい時に作られる。小豆によって白米が薄い赤に色つき、その赤は喜びを表す。
Redbean Rice
Rice steamed together with redbeans, which is prepared for auspicious occasions such as festival and birthdays. The redbeans give the white rice reddish-pink coloring, the color for joy.
